Administration

Brandon Tyndale – Director of Education

Brandon is the director of Maine Electrical Institute and a master electrician with 15 years of experience in the electrical industry. Brandon spent most of his career and life in North Carolina where he primarily worked on commercial and industrial projects, working for the same electrical company for nearly 10 years. Brandon and his family moved to Maine in early 2024 seeking a better sense of community and belonging for his family and himself.  “Community and purpose are what drive us all; if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together.”

Outside of work, Brandon is an avid outdoors-man and passionate woodworker. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing guitar and banjo, and reading biographies and books on personal development.

The things he is most passionate about are the opportunity to see and help others succeed, getting young people interested in the trades, and building a community of like-minded individuals with a common purpose.

He stated, “For me entering the electrical trade literally changed my life, it was one of the best decisions my younger self could have made. This industry has provided me with a community, sense of purpose, fulfillment, and experiences I never would have thought I would have. One of the things I like the most about the electrical trade is the diversity of the industry–from working on multi-million-dollar projects, to helping a family get their power back on in the dead of winter, to wiring someone’s dream home, to wiring a school. The look on a happy customer’s face and knowing that your knowledge and skill-set can help someone is a very gratifying experience.”

Sarah Lee – Administrative Assistant

Sarah began on staff with MEI when it was still young and has been with the company since 2020. She has been with MEI through the many changes of its establishment and growth. She works part-time, but has the experience to give vital feedback when needed and is the database administrator.

Her husband is a master electrician in Maine, MEI’s founding director, and is now a pastor. She has two boys in the U.S. Marine Corps and two high-school daughters whom she home-schools.

Lindsay LeBlanc – Admissions and Program Coordinator

Lindsay started working with MEI in September of 2024, and is one of the people who typically responds to emails or answers the phone when you call. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to enrolling students, sending books, proctoring exams, grading exams, and handling financials.

Before starting at MEI, she worked at Bank of America for five years in a call center, which built her skills in customer service, working with different systems and databases, and of course, obtaining financial knowledge.  She also has a Bachelors in French from the University of Southern Maine.  Although she most likely will not be speaking French very often at the school, having experience in a higher learning institution has definitely helped her understand how things work here.

When Lindsay is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three dogs (a German Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, and their son, a Sheparnese), and a cat (a Maine Coon mix), either playing fetch outside or relaxing inside watching TV.  Cleaning and organizing are also hobbies that she finds therapeutic and although she has plenty of it to do at the house, especially with a bunch of animals that shed, she also works on the weekends cleaning houses.

Lindsay has been enlisted in the Army National Guard for 15 years, playing the alto and baritone saxophone in the band.  Her goal is to be promoted and earn her 20-year letter.   She also plays in two community bands and is part of the VFW Auxiliary and Toastmasters.

She is always happy to help every potential or current student and wishes everyone the best of success as electricians!
