Ryan Tracy – Director of Education

Ryan Tracy is a licensed Master Electrician with over two decades of experience in residential, commercial, and generator electrical systems. He is the Director of Education at Maine Electrical Institute, where he manages, trains, and mentors the next generation of electricians.
Ryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science from the University of Maine at Augusta and an Associate’s degree in Integrated Electronics and Electrical Technology from Kennebec Valley Community College. He is trained in Kohler and Generac generator systems, propane/natural gas systems, EPA 608, and Daikin and Samsung mini split heat pump technologies. At the beginning of July 2026 he will have completed a Master’s degree in Education at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine.
His career includes experience with firms such as McFarland Electric, Kaplan Electrical Construction, and Mid Maine Generator, as well as owning and operating his own business, Tracy Electric. He started his teaching career at Kennebec Valley Community College in January of 2022 before joining the team at MEI a few years later.
Ryan has been married for 23 years and is the proud father of a 17-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. He lives in Augusta, Maine, and enjoys ATVing and fishing during the summer months, and snowmobiling and ice fishing during Maine’s winters.
Sarah Lee – Administrative Assistant
Sarah began on staff with MEI when it was young and has been with the company since 2020. She has been with MEI through the many changes of its establishment and growth. She works part-time, but has the experience to give vital feedback when needed and is the database administrator.
Beginning in her teens, she has had decades of experience as an administrative assistant, and a bit of training in database creation which came in handy during the foundation of MEI.
Her husband of 23 years is a master electrician in Maine, MEI’s founding director, and a pastor. She is the proud mother of two sons in the U.S. Marine Corps and two high-school daughters whom she educates at home.
Lindsay LeBlanc – Admissions and Program Coordinator
Lindsay began working with MEI in September of 2024, and is one of the people who typically responds to emails or answers the phone when you call. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, enrolling students, sending books, proctoring exams, grading exams, and handling financials.
Before starting at MEI, she worked at Bank of America for five years in a call center, which built her skills in customer service, working with different systems and databases, and of course, obtaining financial knowledge. She also has a Bachelors in French from the University of Southern Maine. Although she most likely will not be speaking French very often at the school, having experience in a higher learning institution has definitely helped her understand how things work here.
When Lindsay is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three dogs (a German Shepherd, Bernese Mountain Dog, and their son, a Sheparnese), and a cat (a Maine Coon mix), either playing fetch outside or relaxing inside watching TV. Cleaning and organizing are also hobbies that she finds therapeutic and although she has plenty of it to do at the house, especially with a bunch of animals that shed, she also works on the weekends cleaning houses.
Lindsay has been enlisted in the Army National Guard for 15 years, playing the alto and baritone saxophone in the band. Her goal is to be promoted and earn her 20-year letter. She also plays in two community bands and is part of the VFW Auxiliary and Toastmasters.
She is always happy to help every potential or current student and wishes everyone the best of success as electricians!
